The Drum of Equity and justice are sounding very loud; it is only a fool that will pretend not to hear it. We want all well meaning and patriotic Niger Deltans and Nigerians to rise up for the truth. The present Niger Delta crisis is a product of power play in three sections against one individual.
Prof. Ise Sagay, Festus Keyamo, Ayeri Emami from the Itsekiri axis are trying to display their superiority and cage the symbol of peace in Ijaw Land. Government Epkomopolo, a.k.a Tompolo of the Gbaramantu Kingdom against the botched multi-milion naira EPZ project.
Timipre Sylva and the Boy-loaf faction of MEND are against Tompolo for his firm stand for the Izon Nation and Seriake Dickson and the PDP, during the past Governorship Election.
Rotimi Amaechi, the current minister of transport is still angry with former president Goodluck Ebele Jonathan and the Ijaw nation. Thereby trying to stamp his authority in the Niger Delta as the one in charge. When will all this power play end? Because the poor masses are at the receiving end.
We want to respond to the News Headline of Saturday Vanguard dated July 16th 2016 captioned; “Retired soldiers, ex-agitators mobilize against avengers”. Where were they when Goodluck was the President? Where were they when Julius Berger’s Construction Company was chased out and replaced with their pay masters company Setraco Nigeria Limited?
Who introduced kidnapping and bombings of oil installation? Who introduced cultism? It is so shameful that these same sets of people are taking sides against the region. They have ganged up to bastardize our Traditional Institutions with their ill gotten wealth, and stamp their authority in all our communities and villages in Niger Delta.
The most important decisions, opinions, representation are the militants and their political God-fathers. They should allow distinguished Niger Deltans, Royal fathers, and Community Leaders to run the affairs of the region. They are the only sole contractors in almost all the oil companies in our communities and villages, even in the NDDC.
In Bayelsa State the beautiful houses are owned by the ex-militants, houses with swimming pools in their roofs, the most beautiful and the most expensive choice properties in Abuja and Lagos, marine equipments, barges, tugboats, oil vessels, are also owned by militants. But they could not boast of any legacy from 1999 to date for the region, after accepting Amnesty.
The problem of the Niger Delta still remains the same. Can they point one legacy that they could be proud of? Even the amnesty stipends they foot soldiers and followers were shot changed, some receiving N15,000.00, N20,000.00, instead of N65,000.00, can they point out any of their legacy for the region, that they were able to achieve during their era?
The east west road is not completed, the Bayelsa axis of the East-West road is the most shameful, the state that produced the Former President. These same militants and agitators chased Julius Berger’s Construction Company away by kidnapping their expatriates for political interest of their pay masters. These same ex-militants are the people our political elites use in killing late Marshal Harry and A.K Dikkibo.
Amaechi the Transport Minister and his mono rail project that is a short distance from Lagos Bus stop to UTC in Port Harcourt, a short distance that cost only N50 through public transport has failed. This project is not working but billions of task payers and Rivers State money has been sank into the project and it does not serve the purpose it was meant for.
A man like Government Ekpomupolo, a.k.a Tompolo that initiated and executed the one and only Maritime University in Akrankoko, Gbaramantu Kingdom in Niger Delta, Amaechi and Tompolo who is to be vilified, we urge all well meaning Niger Deltans to rise up and say the truth because of our elites and their system that is enslaving the people they claim to be fighting for.
We are suffering more in the hands of the elites than in the hands of the Nigerian Government. We urge Mr. President to be sincere with himself and Nigerians to dialogue with our Royal Fathers, Chiefs, and distinguished personalities in the Niger Delta to restore a lasting peace in the Niger Delta regions that feeds the Nation.
We are using this medium to inform the world and the Federal Government that we are not based in Bayelsa State, but all over Niger Delta, and we want to state categorically clear that no individual can claim to be funding us or knowing us, the Avengers neither Tompolo. As we are patriotic Ijaw Youths that have decided to say the truth in all ramification, as nobody have the monopoly of violence that is why we have chosen the path to tell the world the truth.
